“When I decided to take a gap year before starting college, I knew I wanted to work for Sinead. My experience at Sinead Halpin Eventing expanded my knowledge and gave me opportunities I never expected to have. These experiences ranged from riding baby horses that had been imported, to hacking Tate, to being able to watch the Training sessions taught by David O’Connor. In addition, I was able to travel to major events such as Plantation Field and Fair Hill and learn how the vet box works. By being a working student for Sinead, I learned how to be a better horse person. I learned the ins and outs of proper horse care and barn management. I was also able to take some lessons with her husband, Tik, on natural horsemanship. When my Preliminary horse became injured, Sinead was able to find me a nice OTTB that was in my price range and helped me bring him up from Beginner Novice to Preliminary. My once-in-a-lifetime experience as a working student for Sinead Halpin Eventing left me feeling more confident in my abilities in and out of the tack.” - Amelia Bayer
